Asa May House
Hwy. 19
Monticello, Fl
The Asa May House also known as the Rosewood Plantation as listed in the National Register of Historic places. This "carpenter classic" style farmhouse typical for the era was built around 1836. This expansive two story house setting off the main road with it's moss laden ancient oaks has an air about it of another time and place. One can close their eyes and be transported back to the days of the "old south".
The Ghost Trackers arrived at the farm house at 7:30 p.m. and was welcomed by the present homeowners. After receiving a brief history of the house, the investigation begin with the Ghost Trackers setting up their equipment and base line data was collected.
As often happens during an investigation, no matter how meticulously Ghost Trackers plan....the ghosts do not always cooperate and unfortunately this particular night was one of those times. We were unable to establish either any significant temperature changes (cold/hot spots) nor did we get any EMF readings. A room off to the left of the staircase did seem to give off a stifling feeling, this room had a door that opened up to the attic an area that is reported to have been designated a play area for the slaves children in a by gone era.
As the evening progressed a video camera using Sony Super night shot was placed on a tripod in the room facing the attic and from the attics open door what appears to be orbs at one point is captured on film exiting from the door. A single orb was captured in the attic with an Advanix camera, single orbs were also captured in a down stairs parlor with a Sony Mavica FD 7 camera. A 35mm Vivitar camera and a small amount of ectoplasm was captured with a 35mm Bell & Howell camera.
Conclusion: We believe from the confirmation of the present homeowners and with the phenomenon we captured on film there is paranormal activity in this home.
