Goodwood Plantation
1600 Miccosukee Road
Tallahassee, Florida
This expansive old plantation home was built in 1843 by Bryan Croom , one of the wealthiest men in the area. One can stroll through the grounds and be transported back to a by-gone era. The home was extensively renovated during the 1990’s and opened as a museum in 2000. The home is furnished through out with period furniture and original plantation furnishings. During renovation construction workers reported hearing the distinct sounds of children’s laughter and sounds of running by ...an unseen runner! During it’s heyday the home was always filled with a hub of social gatherings.
Is it possible these gatherings are still taking place???
