The Columns
100 North Duval Street
Tallahassee, Florida
This stately home was built in 1830 and relocated to its present location in 1971. The home built in the Greek Revival style so popular for it's day, was built by William "Money" Williams. "Money", as he was known, was a banker by profession and one of Tallahassee's most prosperous residents. The home presently houses the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce and one ghost! The ghost, who remains unidentified, is of a young woman who often appears going in and out of the fireplace on the main floor. Did she die here? Did she just have a peculiar attachment to the fireplace? No one knows for sure, but those who have encountered her will forever remember her.
