Three Notch Road
Donaldsonville, Ga

Donaldsonville Georgia is a typical sleepy southeastern Georgia rural small town. The county seat of Seminole County.
Seminole County was created in 1920 from portions of Decatur and Early counties. It was named for the Seminole Indians who, faced with settlement, left their lands in the Chattahoochee River Valley and moved to the Florida Everglades. Led by their chief Osceola.
Donalsonville was named for Jonathan E. Donaldson, a member of a prominent family who had pioneered Decatur County.
Seminole County is located directly above one of the largest known aquifers in the world.
The famous Three-Notch Road on Highway 39 runs through Seminole County. This road was built by a volunteer army in 1814, and was marked by three carved notches which are still visible on the trees today.
Most readers will remember Donaldsonville from the news media that converged upon the town in mid May 1973 following the Alday family murders; one of the most heinous, senseless and brutal murders in Georgia history.
This night we found ourselves in Donaldsonville at the request of Scott Lawson the founder –director of Deep South Ghost Hunters. The group had previously investigated the location and the family was still having a host of paranormal activity. The home was a large and immaculate modular home. The family had purchased the home from the previous home owner’s widow and moved it to its present location.
After a round of introductions an interview with the home owners and family members who were witness to the activity BBGT members went about taking base-line data and positioning video cameras and other equipment at pertinent locations in the home where paranormal activity had been witnessed.  As reported to us by the home owner the previous owner of the home had came home unexpected one afternoon and caught his wife in a precarious situation with another man. The gentleman Robert X had then left the property and a short distance away proceeded in committing suicide. The primary location of the paranormal activity is in the master bedroom...this being the same room Robert X had shared with his wife and his wife had shared with her lover. The sounds of knocking, walking, touching, covers being removed off the bed and the feeling of some unseen entity attempting to get into the present occupants bed was plaguing the family. Mysterious lights frequently streaked across the rooms and a partial apparition had been witnessed.
The investigation would begin with the target area being the master bedroom. A heaviness was thick in the air and the sense of being watched was felt by all. The EMF meter went off sporadically as did a motion detector that was positioned in an unoccupied room. A wave of the mysterious lights shooting across the room was witness by members of the group as well as unidentifiable smells. An orb shooting across the camera screen was captured on video as was a significant amount of other activity. At the home owners request BBGT was asked to smudge the home inside and out. The process using white sage, Kosher Salt, water and reciting a mantra was completed after 45 minutes. The homes atmosphere seem to feel a little less ominous at the completion. BBGT left the home with warnings to the home owner that it might get worse before it gets better. The home owner was called a week later and she reported only one incident of activity had occurred since we had left, this incident happened as we were driving away. The house reportedly shook. Sequent follow up calls to the home –owner reports nothing of any significance has occurred. Hopefully Robert X was able to move on and join his love ones that had gone on before him.
Is the house haunted? YES …Is it still? Only time will tell
A special thanks to Scott Lawson and his team and the home owners.
