While in the process of working with a television producer with the Animal Planet "The Haunted" series BBGT revisited and reinvestigated a private home whose family pets were being affected by ongoing paranormal activity.
BBGT first became aware of the paranormal activity in the home in 2008 from the families now adult son. Having lived many years in the home and experienced ongoing paranormal encounters his parents were now reporting the occurrences were happening more frequently and a grandson and his mother were now living in the home as well and the encounters had begin to frighten the child.
BBGT investigators arrived at the home at the scheduled hour and exchanged greetings with the home owners and reviewed the latest witness statement with them. The activity appears to be more centered in one particular bedroom on the second floor although occurrences have occurred in other parts of the home as well as the home owners having witnessed faces appearing in there windows . The current family dog and the family's large bird displays the same odd behaviors as other family pets that have now passed on had.
The latest occurrence had sent the grandson who currently sleeps in the second floor bedroom running out of the room hysterical and the family’s dog barking erratically at something unseen by the human eyes. The grandchild reported something was in the room hovering over him and feel it breathing on him.
After baseline data was completed and equipment put in place, we proceeded to begin the night’s investigation. We immediately took note the little excited dog had followed us up the staircase and came to an abrupt halt in front of the bedroom door refusing to enter. Inside the bedroom the atmosphere seemed to change to a feeling of something ominous. We sensed we were not alone. An EMF meter went off sporadically and a series of photos were taken. Audio recording equipment was put in place in the room in attempt to capture an EVP. We then left the room and proceeded to other parts of the home. In the kitchen area the lights involuntarily blinked, we noted the bird begin to making sounds of distress.
After more detailed conversations with the home owners we then proceeded out side. The home having been built on land where a Seminole Indian war battle had occurred centuries earlier and the evidence of an old burial ground on the property as well as a previous homestead site. In a psychic mode attempting to channel the spirits of those who had passed on years before at this place the spirit of a late middle age lady came though appearing to be in a housekeeping format. Perhaps she just wanted to let us know this place had once been the site of her home or perhaps we saw the glimmer of a residual event.
After returning to inside the home and collecting our audio and other equipment we sat down with the home owners to discuss our preliminary findings and promised a full report after reviewing all data collected.
We left knowing we would be returning again…..sooner or later!
