The Chestnut Cemetery is one that is typical Old South. It has your iron fence and gates from yesteryear, the graves go back to the late 17 and early 1800's. Many graves have crudely homemade tombstones with fences around them. Many graves have crudely homemade tombstones with fences around them. Many have wood crosses rotting away with the ages and shells lovingly placed on top of the grave, many have marvelous sculptured stones with handsomely written epitaphs. Unexplainable lights have been reported through the years coming from it by passersby at night. I was part of a team conducting an investigation at the cemetery in 1997, we did capture on film a massive amount of orbs & recorded an EVP
