The empty building erected in the early 1900’s looks desolate and even lonely these days some might even say an eyesore. But to north Florida’s Premiere Professional Ghost Hunters the Big Bend Ghost Trackers the old building looked like the perfect place for a haunting! and we were not disappointed.
BBGT arrived at the stately old structure at the appointed hour of 9 p.m. and was met by a school board staff member. After introductions and being brought up to speed on the history of the structure the night’s investigation would begin.
Baseline data was taken in the massive building and cameras and other ghost detection devises were put into place. The sound of teenage girls giggle was heard in the area of the old auditorium along with the rustling sound of shoes dragging on the old wood floor. A psychic connection was made with 2 different young men one of the young men’s name was later validated as well as his age and the sad fact validated that he had apparently lost his life way to soon in an accident at the age of 15. This young man enjoyed his school days and apparently continues to frequent the school in his after-life. (Out of courtesy and respect to his family whom are still alive we have chosen to withhold his name and particulars). As with all professional ghost hunters the ultimate goal is to validate your findings and this night the spirit of this young man was incredible and much obliging and made the validation and easy fine.
We were so taken back and enthralled with the spirit of this young man and his messages we unfortunately did not allow ourselves to thoroughly investigate other areas of the building as we had planned to.
We walked away after equipment was collected and packed away with the over whelming feeling of a successful investigation but also with the thought as parents of son’s how we must always remember how precious they are to us and never let a day go by without telling them . We could loose them in an accident in the blink of an eye.
BBGT members took a variety of photos during the nights investigation however due to the massive dust build up in the environment we could not reach a conclusive decision if the many photos were no more then false positives.

And thanks to the bright young man that left this earthly realm way to soon. You might have been the one that made a difference. Go my child and join your grandparents that have gone on to the light before you.
