This Historic Old Jail was built in 1891 and served as the county jail until 1953.This jail was built and operated in an era when the sheriff and his family had living quarters in the jail. It also had it's own gallons which ended the lives of many criminals and perhaps many innocent as well.    The Ghost Trackers arrived at the reported haunted jail as the midnight hour was approaching. Team members went about collecting baseline data and setting up video equipment and motion detectors in key locations. BBGT member Valynda posted herself in the lower floor cells near "death row" and kitchen area. Members Scott and Ron continued to check for temperature drops (  cold spots). Members Lisa and Lacey attempted to connect psychically while member Betty monitored video cameras. During the course of the nights investigation sounds of shuffling from unknown origins were heard, the eerie feeling of being watched and touched was experienced as well as the uncanny sound of what sounded like breathing coming from inside a cell. Orbs and possibly ectoplasm was captured on digital and video cameras however, the most significant event occurred when member Scott was sitting on the lunch bench between the cells and was suddenly and quiet unexpectedly grabbed on the arm. To say that this alarmed Scott is an understatement!    ( Scott can  now receive visitors at the state asylum every other Sunday)ha! ha! tee hee hee!) As the 3 then 4 a.m. hour approached and no additional significant activity occurred we called it a night or perhaps at this point a morning and walked away with the sense that the old jail contained much residual ghostly activity  from a variety of traumatic events . A special thanks to the museum curator Savannah for making this investigation possible . For more info on the jail go to: http://www.historictours.com/staugustine/default.htm
